Here are definitions and exercises to review articles and when we don´t use articles.
We use article to define nouns.

Use a with singular, countable nouns
that begin with a consonant.

Use an with singular, countable nouns
that begin with a vowel.
|
Use the with a specific noun,
something one of a kind, or when it represents something earlier in a text.

We don’t use any article (zero article) with:
- languages
- name of sports
- name of academic subject
Common countable nouns don’t use articles in the
following situations:
-Expressions with go and be.
-Seasons
-Institutions: school, church, class.
-Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack
-Time of the day: day, night, morning
